Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Sehat Mentor collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data, and the terms on which you use our service. We follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act). Please read it carefully — by creating an account you confirm you have read and agreed to it.

13. Changes to this policy
1. Data we collect
- Account details — your name, mobile number, and (optionally) email address.
- Health & lifestyle data — age, gender, height, weight, health conditions, dietary preference, goals, and the meals, water, sleep, activity and weight you log.
- Coaching interactions — messages you exchange with your coach and the coaching chat.
- Technical data — device/browser information and, if you enable reminders, a push-notification subscription.
We collect this from you directly when you sign up, fill your profile, and use the app.
2. How we use your data
We use your data only to:
- create and run your account;
- build your personalised diet plan, calorie targets and lifestyle score;
- let your assigned coach guide you and reply to your messages;
- estimate calories/nutrition from the meal descriptions you enter;
- send the reminders you opt into;
- process payments if you buy a plan; and
- keep the service secure and meet legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data or use it for third-party advertising.
3. Consent — our legal basis
We process your personal data on the basis of your consent, which you give at sign-up and can withdraw at any time (see section 9). For health data we ask for a separate, explicit consent because it is more sensitive.
4. Your health data
5. Who we share data with
We share the minimum necessary with:
- Your coach — the Sehat Mentor coach assigned to you can see your profile, logs and messages to guide you.
- Hosting — Amazon Web Services (data stored in the Mumbai, India region).
- Payments — Razorpay, if you purchase a plan (we do not store your card details).
- AI assistance — Anthropic (Claude) processes meal descriptions to estimate nutrition and helps draft coach replies, which a human coach reviews.
- Push delivery — your browser's push service (e.g. Google/Microsoft) delivers reminders you opt into.
These providers act as our processors under contract and may not use your data for their own purposes.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal and accounting needs. When you delete your account, we erase or anonymise your personal data except where the law requires us to keep certain records.
7. Security
Your data is encrypted in transit and stored on access-controlled infrastructure in India. We restrict access to those who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of your data.
8. Your rights as a Data Principal
Under the DPDP Act you have the right to:
- Access — a summary of the personal data we process about you;
- Correction & erasure — correct inaccurate data or have your data erased;
- Grievance redressal — a readily available way to raise complaints (section 11);
- Nominate — nominate another person to exercise your rights if you die or are incapacitated.
You can exercise these from Account → Privacy in the app, or by contacting our Grievance Officer.
9. Withdrawing consent
You can withdraw your consent at any time from Account → Privacy. Withdrawing is as easy as giving consent. If you withdraw consent for health-data processing, we may no longer be able to provide coaching, and you can ask us to delete your data.
10. Children's data
If a programme is for a child (under 18), a parent or legal guardian must create and manage the account and gives consent on the child's behalf. We do not knowingly process a child's data without verifiable parental consent, and we do not use children's data for tracking or targeted advertising.
11. Grievance Officer
If you have any concern or complaint about how we handle your data, contact our Grievance Officer:
- Grievance Officer, DHAMMX Technology Private Limited
- Email: privacy@sehatmentor.com
- Address: Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India
We will acknowledge and address your grievance within the timelines prescribed by law.
12. Terms of use & important disclaimer
- You agree to provide accurate information and to use the service lawfully and only for yourself (or a dependant you are responsible for).
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.
- Paid plans, where offered, are billed as shown at purchase; refunds follow the terms stated at that time.
- We may suspend or close accounts that misuse the service. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the fees you paid in the preceding three months.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we make material changes we will raise the version number and ask you to review and accept the new version the next time you sign in. The “Version” shown at the top always reflects the current policy.
